SAT is required for International students
International students need to take the SAT to get into an American university even if you are Canadian. You should always check with the schools that you are applying to for any specific requirements.To be accepted into a U.S. undergraduate program you must have three things:
- A Student Visa - This allows international students to travel to the US to study. You can find useful information here - http://educationusa.state.gov/usvisa.htm
- SAT scores - This is a standardized test that all colleges require for admissions. You can find more information and register here -

International students can register for the SAT in any of four ways:
- Online
- By mail with a copy of the SAT Registration Booklet, International Edition, which should be available at their school
- Through one of our Overseas Advising Centers
- Through an SAT International Representative
- TOEFL scores - This test allows international students to study in the US. You can learn more and register here -

Please be sure to take the exams at least one month prior to the admission application deadlines. The subject tests can be in topics of your choosing.
You should have your official scores sent to the colleges by the testing agency. Colleges will not accept scores that have been typed or written onto the transcript.
